Let me meet your needs
As a Wellington photographer, I often get asked what type of sessions I do (and what I don't).
And, while I have preferences – I particularly love maternity portraits – I am a fairly broad photographer. All the way back in 2007/2008, I trained as a photojournalist (so, tick for documentary and event images), did weddings on the side and then moved into maternity and newborn portraits in 2020 when I set up the business. I have since started doing families, branding and boudoir.
So, a bit of everything.
But where are my strengths/preferences?
That is a trickier question.
Anyone who has looked at my portraits will clearly see that I love studio portraits - think painterly style images that reflect my passion for art. I have invested thousands of dollars in maternity gowns and studio equipment. To create artwork that will be treasured for decades. In the studio, I capture a range of portraits - from maternity, to newborn, family and even cake smashes.
I also love heading out on location to capture images. Being out of the studio creates a seperate challenge as I contend with factors that are out of my control.
And then there are weddings. I have rediscovered my love for capturing weddings - the emotion and the moments. The love and the family and, of course, the fashion. The same goes for events.
Recently, I have introduced lifestyle newborn sessions into my toolbox - capturing this special moment in your own home to reduce stress and to create unique images that reflect you.
In every case, I will come to your session as equipped as possible in terms of photographic knowledge, equipment and positive attitude.
The most fundamental point is that I want to create images that are special to you.
So, rather than niching right down, I will keep offering a range of session types. But I will also keep honing my skills to create artwork that is worthwhile for you – regardless of what I am capturing.
